Our Services

Private developmental Paediatric reviews can be challenging as most clinicians work as sole practitioners. Zaneil is made up of a team of highly experienced professionals with specialist skills in assessing children with neurodevelopmental difficulties. Our team consists of Paediatricians, Child Psychiatrists, Nurse Specialist, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. We pride ourselves in the ability to carry out multidisciplinary assessments due to our partnership with a team of experienced professionals.

What does the assessment process involve?

  • Comprehensive assessment of the child’s health and development
  • Outlining of the child’s strength and weaknesses to help develop a profile
  • Full medical and neurological examination
  • Assessment of child’s social communication skills where indicated
  • Assessment of child’s cognition and learning potential if indicated

We usually request for questionnaires to be completed by parents and education staff at school either prior to the first assessment or after the initial assessment. We usually request for reports from previous assessments as well as reports from the child’s early years to be brought along to the appointment.

The Initial appointment is carried out by the Consultant Paediatrician who takes a detailed history of your child’s development and difficulties. The medical and neurological examination is carried out at the first assessment.

Your child may be referred to the therapists or psychologist after the first appointment. Further appointment is arranged once the completed questionnaires have been received.

We are able to arrange for our patients to have relevant investigations including radiological, genetic and neurophysiological investigations.

Our Specialist Teams do a go a step further to liase with the child’s school and provide advice and guidance to support the child in school.

We provide a comprehensive report of the assessment within 1-2 weeks after completion of all assessments.
